My little scientist

I brought my 2 1/2 yr old daughter to Boston University this past week for a 2 part study on how young children learn about different kinds of objects. I thought it would be fun for us to go into the city and meet some new people and help out the students. My daughter can be a bit slow to warm up to strangers and since this was only a 15 minute session, I thought it might help her learn to jump into things faster.

Problem was, there was never anything for her to enjoy. Now, we have decided to get a subscription to Highlights Magazine's newest addition, High Five. It is a magazine published monthly dedicated to the early years of childhood. Its goal is to encourage a natural sense of wonder of the world, promote reasoning, problem solving and vocabulary and to inspire them to be kind, get along with others and be self confident. That's a lot for a magazine to do!

The Mommy Makeover: Rejuvenation of the Breast and Body after Childbirth

WHAT IS "PLASTIC SURGERY"?

The word “plastic” derives from the Greek word “Plastikos”, which means to mold or change form. Plastic surgery involves both reconstructive procedures and cosmetic surgery.

“Cosmetic surgery” is plastic surgery designed to improve the appearance of the body or counteract the effect of aging. It can often improve body image, self-esteem and help to restore a more youthful appearance.

Pre Pre School-an update

An update to my previous article on my 2 year old starting "pre" pre school at a private school in the next town over from ours...it is going so well! Everything I wanted to happen for her has. She asks for her teachers every morning even though she only goes 3 mornings a week, she talks about the things she does at school and she has become more confident and talkative. The confidence factor was my biggest reason for sending her to school.

Pre Pre School-Coming this Fall

It wasnt long ago that parents didnt think about school for their children before age 4. Now, as my daughter rounds the corner to being 2 years old, we have enrolled her in "school" 3 days a week in the mornings. I am a stay at home Mom but find there are things I cant give her at home that she needs as she enters pre school and kindergarden. I was impressed and shocked at the schools I saw as I did my research.
