Preschool curriculumI did a lot of searching before I settled on my daughter's school. Now that she is in full pre school mode, I am eager to see the monthly calendar that outlines their learning for the month. While free and structured play are very important, I think many people underestimate how much a 3 year old can learn (and have fun at the same time). This month, my daughter's classroom went "traveling around the world" with "passports" they made with their picture and stamps from the countries they visited, India, Ireland & Iran. Parents who are from those countries came in and shared their culture with the kids. They read books, made crafts and cooked foods from all over the world. I brought in my Father's passport filled with stamps from around the world. The kids enjoyed learning about new cultures that are represented in their class. I am excited to see what next month brings. Stay tuned....

Favorite Person Dinner
My daughter has her Favorite Person dinner tonight and since my Mom is away, she is taking her Dad! They are both very excited to spend this special time together. And although he takes her to school every morning and knows the staff well, it will still be special time together. Another aspect of the curriculum I like.
