Costco - Holiday items and more

Submitted by HighMaintenanceMom on September 25, 2005 - 21:25.

It's always fun to go through the Costco holiday selection and I often wish I had bought more as the holidays approach. Who knew we'd be invited to a baby shower and asked to bring a bath toy after passing on the Elmo bath set last year? There are a few items I was really excited about this weekend so I thought I would mention them (Leap Frog videos, beading sets, puppets, etc.). There are also a few Halloween costumes ($12.99 - we bought B the cow one) and Dr Seuss books on CD (about $5.99 for a paperback book and CD)...

Holiday Items

  • Leap Frog videos - We love these videos and at $7.99 each they are worth checking out. The five videos include Math Circus, Letter Factory, Talking Words Factory, Code Word Caper, and Storybook Factory.
  • Hand puppets (set of four animals) - They had these last year and are lots of fun for acting out stories.
  • Bead sets - There are sets with small beads for older children and a set with larger wooden beads for younger children. These are great for gifts and entertaining kids.
  • Sleeping bag sets - Sleeping bag, animal, and slippers - very cute.
  • Big stuffed animals - dogs
  • Tonka sets - the mini trucks and planes (we take these on the plane with us - our boys love them)
  • Plus lots of other trucks, trains, bath toys, wrapping paper, wood stamp sets, etc.

Last year we bought a Brio train set at a great price. I haven't seen one yet but there are a few months left. We also bought a Little Lionel set three years ago and a plastic farm set both kids still enjoy. I bought the last farm set in Delaware and carried it back on the plane hoping it would be enjoyed.

Also - we bought the new diaper wipes and they are fine. I was afraid they were going to ruin them by making them quilted but they are not too thick.
