Items of the month - October

B loves this book. We bought it for him when he was 18 months old for his second Halloween. I thought it would be fun but I didn't realize it was going to be a favorite. We enjoy talking about the costumes and what is going to happen next. A great Halloween choice...

Elmo Says Boo is a collection of Sesame Street songs with Halloween-related themes. My kids love to dance to it (Monsters in the Mirror is B's favorite). It includes the following songs, many of which can be heard on Amazon.

I was surprised to find how entertaining flashlights are to kids. These have a Halloween logo on them and can be attached to other items using the key ring. B has one in a drawer near his bed in case he gets scared at night (in addition to the multiple night lights).

Interesting list of books. Seaseme Street books series is always a good choice for young kids. As for flashlights, I'm rather amzaed too. The little ones can be delighted for the whole day, flashing the flashlight and playing with it. But, I'm always afriad that they would take the battries out and well, 'play' with it.

Flashlight fun

We haven't had much trouble with our kids playing with the batteries but B did go through a phase of taking the top of the maglights and playing with the bulbs. Since then, the flashlights have been put away. We also like the Sesame Street book series. Baby Entropy loves "Puppies! (Sesame Street® Elmos World(TM))" and "Balls! (Sesame Street® Elmos World(TM))" (both have flaps to lift up).
