High Maintenance Mom

It's late and I really want to sleep. The fact that I'm up late tonight is my own fault. Last night I was trying to make lunches and clean but tonight I was planning to try to catch up on sleep. I went to check on Little Grab who is sleeping with his butt in the air. It's so cute. I can't believe how adorable I find my kids when they are sleeping. I have to remind myself not to wake them.

Anyway, after checking on Little Grab and B, who said something about trains in his sleep, The Pocket Physicist decided to tell me that all of my comments about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince could be correct. B came into the living covered in ink earlier today. He said he had been writing notes -- on his hands, arms, legs, cheek, and bottom of feet. He was very excited and had used every marker color he owned. Last October, B wrote a note on his pillow using several "washable" markers. When asked about it, he told me it said, "Dear Mole, Meet us tomorrow at the maple tree, Fox, Skunk, and Racoon." The Pocket Physicist refused to take him to the computer store for another visit. I often wonder if there is a secret handshake to get in...

My husband stayed home with Mr. "Atypical Chickenpox" Mon - Wed so I was home this morning with Mr. "Is that Pink Eye Again". No goo in the eyes when he woke up this morning and no goo when he woke from his first nap so I rushed into the office. I dropped him off at daycare noting the antibiotics and lack of goo in the eyes.

I then spent then next five hours in front of my computer working. I had already moved my much needed morning exercise with a friend to later in the day so my plan was to work until the meeting and then exercise. At 3 PM I rechecked the email about the meeting. I had wanted to send email in the morning setting 4 PM as the last time I could meet but I decided against it. At 4 PM I revised the email I should have sent in my mind.

We've had an exciting few weeks. We lost our oven, microwave, and disposal within 3 days of each other over the holidays and have dealt with a 15 day stomach flu (Little Grab), ear infections (both boys), a new tooth (Little Grab) and a sinus infection (me). Today ends this round of antibiotics for the three of us and The Pocket Physicist is now starting to feel sick.

B has been telling lots of stories. The other night The Pocket Physicist said goodnight and told B that he needed to make a list of things he needed to get done the next day. Later that night we found that B had made his own list using several markers on his pillow. When asked he told us his list said, "Dear Mole, Meet us tomorrow at the maple tree, fox, skunk, and racoon." I think it's from a story they were reading at school.
